Find Out More About Our Owner, Walter Herman

Walter Herman, president and owner of Herman’s Auto Center, Inc., started his career as a mechanic at Bob Motl Chevrolet in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood. In 1975, he moved with Bob Motl Chevrolet to Tinley Park where Bob Motl Chevrolet was renamed to Apple Chevrolet.

With the knowledge acquired, Walter opened his first business, the Enco Gas Station on 167th and Oak Park Ave. In 1988, he moved to the Duvan Drive Industrial park and in 1995 built the current building. Herman’s Auto Center, Inc. has been serving Tinley Park and surrounding communities for over 40 years.

Walter Herman, age 62, has 44 years of experience in the automotive repair and maintenance business. He is an ASE-certified automotive technician, specialized in auto brakes, engine performance, engine repairs, suspension, and steering.

Phillip Herman is a 36-year old automotive technician with an ASE certification in brakes. He has 18 years of experience in the auto repair and maintenance business. 

Michael Herman is 29 years old with 10 years of experience. 

Glenn Cosentino, age 53, is our service writer with 37 years of experience in the automotive business. He has ASE certifications for auto brakes, suspension, and steering.
